2006 Slam Dunk participants announced

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith will be back
to defend his Slam Dunk title. Smith will compete against Philadelphia’s Andre
Iguodala, New York’s Nate Robinson and Memphis’ Hakim Warrick, the NBA
announced on Tuesday.

The Slam Dunk contest is part of NBA Weekend and will take place Saturday,
February 18 — the night before the All-Star Game — at the Toyota Center in
Houston, Texas.

The winner of the prestigious contest will pocket $35,000 for his efforts.
Second place will earn $22,500, while third and fourth place will each get
$16,125.
