Clippers visit Orlando

(Sports Network) – The Los Angles Clippers and Orlando Magic will both try and
get back on the winning track when the teams meet tonight at TD Waterhouse
Centre.

The Clippers play the second of a season-long six-game road trip. On Monday,
Dwyane Wade finished with 28 points, 11 assists and four blocks to lead the
Miami Heat over the Clippers, 118-114, at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Elton Brand ended with 31 points, six boards and three blocks for the
Clippers, who had a five-game winning streak halted. Cuttino Mobley added 28
points and 11 assists for Los Angeles, which failed to earn its first six-game
winning streak in 14 years.

LA is 9-10 on the road this season. The Clippers will also visit the Boston
Celtics, Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons on the current
swing.

Orlando will try and halt a two-game losing streak as it plays the second of a
brief two-game homestand. On Sunday, Chris Webber poured in 18 points and
dished out a season-high eight assists as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the
Magic, 89-81, at the TD WaterHouse Centre.

Steve Francis recorded a triple-double with 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10
assists in the loss to the Sixers for the Magic, who have dropped six of their
last 11 games overall. Hedo Turkoglu chipped in 15 points with six rebounds in
defeat.

Point guard Jameer Nelson has missed five straight games with a foot sprain
and is questionable for tonight’s contest. Nelson is averaging 13.8 points and
4.4 assists in 37 games this season.

The Magic are 12-10 as the host this season.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On
January 10th, Cuttino Mobley scored 18 points and Chris Kaman added 15 as the
Clippers defeated the Magic, 90-73, at Staples Center.

The Clippers have won two straight and four of the last five contests in this
series. The Clippers have lost five of seven and nine of their last 12 at
Orlando.
