(Sports Network) – Forward Pau Gasol will play in his first NBA All-Star Game
on February 19th at the Toyota Center. He is a reserve for the Western
Conference.

The 25-year-old Gasol leads the Grizzlies in scoring (19.7 ppg) and rebounding
(9.0 rpg) and has dished out 4.3 assists per game. The 7-0 forward is
averaging 22.4 points 10.0 rebounds in his last 10 outings. Gasol is shooting
48.5 percent from the floor.

Gasol has collected 20 double-doubles this season. He has scored in double-
digits in 46 of 50 games during the campaign.

Memphis wraps up their season-long six-game road trip on Monday, as they visit
the Golden State Warriors at The Arena in Oakland. It is the second meeting of
the season between the clubs. On January 3rd, Eddie Jones scored 23 points and
Gasol netted 21 as Memphis knocked off the Warriors, 104-94, at FedExForum.The
Grizzlies have won two straight and five of the last six meetings with the
Warriors. Memphis has won four of six and six of its last 10 at Golden State.

The Grizzlies are 1-4 on their current swing. On Saturday, Chucky Atkins
scored 18 points and burned his old team by making a free throw with three
seconds left, to boost the Grizzlies to a 100-99 victory over the Los Angeles
Lakers at the Staples Center.

Gasol finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in the win over
the Lakers for Memphis. Jones added 25 points and eight rebounds against his
former club, as the Grizzlies snapped a season-high five-game skid and won
three of the four meetings this season versus the Lakers.

The Grizzlies, who will host the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday in their final
game before the All-Star break, are 12-15 as the visitor this season. They are
2-8 in their last 10 contests on the road.

Memphis is 8-3 when it scores 100 or more points this season.

The Grizzlies (27-23) are tied with the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets for
third place in the Southwest Division. They are 13 games behind the division-
leading San Antonio Spurs.
