Nets acquire Nachbar from Hornets
East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) – The New Jersey Nets have acquired
forward Bostjan Nachbar from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in
exchange for forwards Marc Jackson and Linton Johnson III and cash
Nachbar, originally a first-round selection of the Houston Rockets in the 2002
NBA Draft, averaged 5.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 25 games for the Hornets
this season. In 155 career games, Nachbar has averaged 5.1 points and 2.0
Picked up in an off-season trade with Philadelphia, Jackson averaged 4.6
points and 2.4 rebounds in 37 games with the Nets.
Johnson appeared in nine games this season, averaging 1.2 points and less
than one rebound per contest.
