Clippers need to get their act together

(Sports Network) – The Los Angeles Clippers are still a surprising 31-23, but
they have not played well as of late and have fallen six games behind the
division-leading Phoenix Suns in the Pacific.

The Clippers play the middle contest of a three-game homestand on Monday
against the Charlotte Bobcats at the Staples Center. It is the second and
final meeting of the campaign between the squads.

On December 23rd, Brand scored 38 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as the
Clippers beat the Bobcats, 97-88, at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. The Clippers
have won all three contests between the clubs.

All-Star Elton Brand finished with 32 points and 11 rebounds to lead the
Clippers to a 102-83 victory over the Lakers on Friday evening at the Staples
Center.

Cuttino Mobley had 22 points and Vladimir Radmanovic added 19 points and seven
boards in the win over the Lakers for the Clippers, who stopped a five-game
losing streak.

The Clippers, who will host the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on Wednesday
in the finale of the current stand, are a solid 18-9 as the host this season.

Brand, who leads the Clippers in scoring (25.3 ppg) and rebounding (10.3 rpg),
has registered two straight double-doubles and has collected 31 during the
campaign.

Veteran guard Sam Cassell leads the Clippers in assists (6.5 apg). He is also
averaging 17.6 points in 53 games.
