Heat continue homestand vs. Cavs

(Sports Network) – The Miami Heat play the third of a five-game homestand
this afternoon, as they welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers to AmericanAirlines
Arena.

This is the third meeting of the season between the clubs. In the two previous
contests, both clubs picked up a win at home.

The home team has won eight of the last nine meetings in this series, while
the Heat have won four of the last five contests. Cleveland has lost six
straight after winning its last two at Miami.

Miami will try and get back on the winning track. On Friday, Jason Richardson
posted a career-high 44 points, as the Golden State Warriors snapped Miami’s
10-game winning streak with a 111-106 victory over the Heat at
AmericanAirlines Arena.

Dwyane Wade ended with a season-high 42 points and Shaquille O’Neal registered
21 points and 15 rebounds in the loss to the Warriors for Miami, which lost at
home for the first time this season to a sub-.500 team.

The Heat, who defeated Washington in the opener of the stand, are 23-7 as the
host this season. They are scheduled to host the Utah Jazz on Tuesday and the
Boston Celtics on Thursday.

Cleveland, which plays the third of a four-game road trip, will also try to
bounce back from a loss. Carlos Arroyo finished with 17 points and seven
assists to lead the Orlando Magic over the Cavaliers, 102-73, on Friday at TD
Waterhouse Centre.

LeBron James ended with 25 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Orlando
for the Cavaliers, who had a four-game winning streak halted. Zydrunas
Ilgauskas and Ronald Murray both netted 13 in defeat.

The Cavaliers are 14-17 on the road this season. They are scheduled to visit
the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday in the finale of the swing.

Cleveland is scheduled to host Miami on April 1st in the fourth and final
meeting of the regular season between the squads.
