Bulls aim to blaze Portland in Windy City

(Sports Network) – The Chicago Bulls still have their sights set on the
playoffs and will try for their second straight win tonight against the
Portland Trail Blazers at the United Center.

On Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks, Luol Deng scored 21 points as Chicago
posted a 95-90 victory at Philips Arena.

Kirk Hinrich recorded 18 points for Chicago, which snapped a two-game losing
streak. Tyson Chandler posted 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Malik Allen had
12 points. Chris Duhon added 11 in the win — Chicago’s second in five tries.

The Bulls are fighting for the eighth and final playoff spot and are 4-4 in
their last eight home games. They own a 14-17 record at home this season.

Meanwhile, Portland ended a four-game losing streak with Sunday’s 111-101
triumph over the Phoenix Suns.

Zach Randolph posted 32 points and 14 rebounds, while Darius Miles contributed
20 points off the bench and Steve Blake had 18 along with 13 assists for the
Blazers, who won for just the second time in 12 games.

In the season series with Portland and Chicago, the Trail Blazers lead 1-0
after notching a 96-93 win on November 16. Theo Ratliff’s dunk off a missed
shot from Sebastian Telfair with 8.7 seconds left boosted Portland to the win.

Randolph led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers.

Portland, which has won four of the last six meetings with the Bulls, has
dropped two of its last three in the Windy City.
