Bucks beat down Bulls

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) – Bobby Simmons had 26 points and nine
rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks cruised to a 104-88 victory over the Chicago
Bulls at the Bradley Center.

Michael Redd netted 23 points and pulled down seven boards and T.J. Ford had
12 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Bucks, who have won two
straight and three of their last four games.

With the win Milwaukee moved into sole possession of the seventh spot in the
Eastern Conference playoff race, one-half game ahead of Philadelphia.

Andres Nocioni had a career-high 25 points and pulled down nine rebounds and
Kirk Hinrich added 19 points and dished out 12 assists for the Bulls, who had
a small two-game winning streak snapped.

The Bucks dominated this game from start. The Bulls got an early three-
pointer, but did not make a basket for the next seven minutes which allowed
the Bucks to grabbed a 26-8 lead after Redd slammed the ball home with 4:36
left in the first.

The Bulls scored the last 10 points of the first and trailed 32-18 going into
the second quarter.

The closest Chicago got in the second quarter was when the team scored the
first basket of the stanza to make it 32-20. Milwaukee led by as many as 20
points and took a 59-42 lead into the locker room.

Chicago shot 39 percent in the first half while Milwaukee hit 54.1 percent of
its attempts including 6-of-10 from long range.

Simmons and Redd had 16 and 15 points, respectively, and Nocioni put up 15
points in the first half.

The Bucks grabbed their largest lead of the game after Simmons hit a free
throw to give his squad a 79-53 lead with 2:47 left in the third quarter.

The Bulls, though, ended the third by scoring 13 straight points and cut the
gap to 79-66 heading into the final 12 minutes.

Chicago closed to within seven points, 91-84, when Jannero Pargo nailed a
jumper with 3:19 to play.

But, Milwaukee scored the next seven points to pull away and grab the win.

Game Notes

The season series is tied at two games each…The Bulls return home to face
Miami on Saturday…Milwaukee travels to Toronto for a game on Friday…The
Bucks are 16-4 when Ford has eight or more assists this season…Milwaukee
finished shooting 47.9 percent in the game and Chicago made 36.6 percent of
