Pacers, Sixers square off at Conseco Fieldhouse

(Sports Network) – The Indiana Pacers conclude a three-game homestand
this afternoon when they welcome the Philadelphia 76ers to Conseco Fieldhouse.

Indiana, seeded sixth in the Eastern Conference playoff race, defeated Chicago
on Wednesday, but suffered a 75-72 loss to Detroit on Friday night.

All-Star Jermaine O’Neal had eight points and seven rebounds in 16 minutes in
his second game back from a torn groin muscle which caused him to miss two
months.

David Harrison had 14 points for the Pacers, who lost for the third time in
four games. Stephen Jackson finished with 13 in the loss.

Indiana is 3-5 in its last eight home games and 21-13 at Conseco Fieldhouse
this season.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia is hanging by a thread in the East and just barely
owns the eighth and final playoff spot in the conference.

Losers of eight of their last 10 games, the Sixers suffered a 102-86 home loss
to the Orlando Magic on Friday. It was a big win for Orlando, which halted its
franchise-record 16-game road losing streak.

Chris Webber netted a game-high 23 points and gathered 15 boards for
Philadelphia. All-Star Allen Iverson added 17 points and 10 assists.

Philadelphia hits the road where it has lost three in a row. The Sixers
own a 12-21 mark as the visitor this season.

Sunday’s meeting is the third and final matchup of the season between
Philadelphia and Indiana. The season series is tied at a game apiece after the
Sixers won on November 5 and Indiana was victorious on March 5.

The Sixers have won five of the last six meetings and three in a row at
Conseco Fieldhouse.
