Hornets are running out of time

(Sports Network) – The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets are just 32-36,
but trail the Sacramento Kings by just two games for the eighth and final
playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Hornets will play eight of their final 14 games this season on the road.
They will visit Utah, Golden State, Toronto, Detroit, Dallas, Sacramento,
Phoenix and the Lakers.

On Monday, the Utah Jazz closeout a four-game homestand as they host the
Hornets at the Delta Center. It is the third meeting of the season between the
clubs. In the two previous contests, both clubs picked up a win on the road.
These teams have split the last four contests at Utah.

The Hornets are scheduled to host the Jazz on April 14th in the fourth and
final contest of the campaign between the squads.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City, which has lost three straight games, plays the
third of a four-game road trip against the Jazz. On Sunday, Kobe Bryant scored
30 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers knocked off the
Hornets, 105-94, at the Staples Center.

David West poured in 23 points and grabbed 10 boards, while rookie Chris Paul
netted 17 and P.J. Brown scored 13 for the Hornets, who have lost 11 of their
last 12 games overall.

The Hornets are 12-21 on the road this season. They will closeout the swing on
Wednesday against the Warriors at The Arena in Oakland.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City will play its final six home games against Memphis,
Golden State, Toronto, Cleveland, Seattle and Utah.
