Bosh out for remainder of season
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) – Toronto Raptors all-star forward Chris
Bosh will miss the remainder of the season with a strained left thumb.
The Georgia Tech product suffered the injury with 5:11 remaining in the first
quarter of a March 26 contest in Milwaukee. The Raptors lost the game,
125-116, in overtime.
Bosh had the injury reevaluated on Tuesday night by team physician Dr. Paul
Marks and Toronto hand specialist Dr. Brent Graham. It was recommended that
Bosh sit out the rest of the season to avoid the potential for a more serious
injury to occur.
The forward appeared in 70 games this season, posting 22.5 points and 9.2
rebounds per contest. Bosh has also compiled 32 double-doubles and has led the
team in rebounds 46 times.
Bosh has stayed relatively healthy during his three-year NBA career, missing
only eight total contests with seven of them in his rookie season.
