Spurs beat Sonics to widen lead in West

nine assists to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 104-95 victory over the
Seattle SuperSonics.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and collected 14 rebounds for the Spurs, who hold a
one-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks for the top spot in the Western
Conference and Southwest Division. Michael Finley came off the bench to
contribute 17 points, while Brent Barry tallied 16 points. The Spurs have won
12 of their last 16 games.

San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili miss the game with contusions on his left shin and
