Rockets in flight in Denver

(Sports Network) – The playoff-bound Denver Nuggets host the disappointing
Houston Rockets tonight at the Pepsi Center.

Denver is the Northwest Division champs and will be the third seed in the
Western Conference playoffs.

The Nuggets try to halt a two-game losing streak. On Saturday, Mike Bibby
poured in 23 points and dished out 10 assists, as the Sacramento Kings
defeated Denver, 100-82, at the Pepsi Center.

Ruben Patterson scored a team-high 20 points in the loss to Sacramento for the
Nuggets, who have dropped four of their last seven games overall. Carmelo
Anthony finished with 15 points, while Marcus Camby netted 10 and pulled down
a game-high 17 rebounds in defeat.

Denver is 26-14 at the Pepsi Center this season. The Nuggets wrap up the
regular season on Wednesday at Seattle.

Houston enters tonight’s contest with a four-game losing streak. On Saturday,
Mike Miller totaled 25 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies past the Rockets,
93-81, at the Toyota Center.

Juwan Howard led the Rockets with 16 points and Rafer Alston posted a double-
double with 13 points and 10 assists in the loss to Memphis. Houston has lost
seven of its last eight games overall.

The Rockets are 18-22 on the road this season. They conclude their season on
Wednesday at the Toyota Center against the defending world champion San
Antonio Spurs.

The Nuggets have won two of the three meetings between the clubs this season.
Houston has lost three of its last four as the visitor against the Nuggets,
while these teams have split the last six meetings at Denver.
