Bryant, Gordon named NBA players of the week
New York, NY (Sports Network) – Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers and the
Chicago Bulls’ Ben Gordon were named the NBA’s top players for the week ending
Bryant averaged a league-high 41.3 points, with 6.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and
3.33 steals per game, as the Lakers went 3-0 to clinch a playoff berth. On
April 14, Bryant scored 50 points in a 110-99 win over Portland to surpass

Washington on April 14, Gordon tied the NBA’s all-time record for three-point
