Mavs sign rookie Ager
Dallas, TX (Sports Network) – The Dallas Mavericks signed rookie Maurice
Ager Saturday to a contract, the terms of which remained undisclosed.
Ager, 6-foot-5, 202 pounds, was selected by Dallas in the first round (28th
overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft. A native of Detroit, Ager ended his four years
at Michigan State ranked 11th in career scoring (1,554 points), fourth in
three-point field goals made (202) and third in three-point field goals
He was named Second Team All-Big Ten by the media his senior year, after
having averaged 19.3 points per game.
Ager will play for the Mavericks 2006 Summer League Team. Dallas will appear
in the Toshiba Vegas Summer League and Rocky Mountain Revue in Salt Lake City.
Their first game will be July 6 against the Denver Nuggets.
