Grizzlies sign former Villanova star
Memphis, TN (Sports Network) – The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Kyle Lowry
to a rookie contract on Friday. Per team policy, financial terms were not
Lowry, the 24th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, signed a two-year deal with team
options for the third and fourth years.
Last season as a sophomore, Lowry was a Second Team All-Big East choice after
averaging 11.0 points per game and a team-high 3.7 assists.
In his two seasons at Villanova, the 6-0, 175-pound guard averaged 9.5 points,
3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
