Jazz acquire Fisher from Warriors

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – The Utah Jazz acquired guard Derek
Fisher from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for guards Devin Brown,
Keith McLeod and Andre Owens on Wednesday.

Fisher averaged 13.3 points and 4.3 assists last year with the Warriors, his
second season with the club. The 31-year-old had spent his first eight seasons
with the Los Angeles Lakers and was a key contributor to the Los Angeles
team that won three straight NBA titles beginning in 1999-2000. For his
career, Fisher has averaged 8.6 points and 3.2 assists in 10 NBA seasons with
LA and Golden State.

Brown started 14 of 81 games last year with Utah, averaging 7.5 points. In
three seasons with San Antonio, Denver and the Jazz, Brown owns a career-
average of 6.3 points per game.

McLeod, who signed with Utah before the 2004-05 season, averaged 5.6 points
last year in 66 games, with 32 starts.

Owens signed with the Jazz last season as an undrafted free-agent and averaged
3.0 points in 23 games, including two starts.
