Utah re-signs Collins

Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) – The Utah Jazz agreed to terms with
center Jarron Collins on Thursday.

Terms of the contract were not released.

“We are pleased that Jarron has chosen to return to the Jazz,” said senior
vice president of basketball operations Kevin O’Connor. “He is a true
competitor, who is passionate about basketball and a professional both on and
off the court.”

Collins appeared in 79 games (41 starts) last season for the Jazz, averaging
5.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 21.9 minutes per contest.

The 6-foot-11 center has played in 302 games, all with Utah, averaging 5.6
points, 3.9 rebounds in 20.8 minutes per game.
