Terry inks extension with Mavs
Dallas, TX (Sports Network) – The Dallas Mavericks re-signed guard Jason
Terry on Tuesday. Per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed.
Terry was Dallas’ second-leading scorer last season, averaging 17.1 points per
game, to go along with a team-high 3.8 assists. He also averaged 2.0 rebounds
and 1.25 steals per contest and finished 10th in the NBA in three-pointers
The Seattle native then elevated his play during the Mavericks run to the NBA
Finals. The point guard averaged 18.9 points per game in the playoffs and
netted two 30-plus point games during the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat.
After the Mavericks lost to the Heat, Terry quickly indicated he expected to
re-sign with the Mavericks.
