Wolves bring back Reed
Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) – The Minnesota Timberwolves re-signed
forward Justin Reed to a contract on Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not
Reed was part of a seven-player trade with Boston in January that sent forward
Wally Szczerbiak to the Celtics. Thought to be a throw-in player in the deal,
Reed surprised by averaging 6.3 points and 2.4 rebounds in 40 games, six
starts, for Minnesota.
Drafted by Boston in the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft, Reed has career
averages of 3.9 points and 1.5 rebounds in 11.8 minutes per contest.
