Bobcats re-sign center Voskuhl
Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) – The Charlotte Bobcats announced Monday the
re-signing of free agent center Jake Voskuhl.
Voskuhl, originally acquired last August from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for
a conditional second round pick, appeared in 51 games with two starts in
2005-06 and averaged 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game.
“Bringing Jake back to our team provides experienced depth at the center
position,” Bobcats general manager and head coach Bernie Bickerstaff said.
“Jake has been a solid contributor for us on both ends of the court and is a
true team player.”
Voskuhl was drafted 33rd overall by Chicago in the 2000 NBA Draft and has
played in 295 career games with 83 starts in six seasons between Phoenix,
Charlotte and the Bulls.
