Warriors’ Richardson undergoes surgery

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Golden State Warriors guard Jason Richardson
underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday.

The surgery cleaned out debris caused by normal wear and tear. He is expected
to be ready for the start of the season.

In 75 games last season, all starts, Richardson averaged 23.2 points, 5.8
rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Richardson, 25, is one of only five players in NBA history to increase his
scoring average in each of his first four NBA seasons following his rookie
campaign, joining Karl Malone, Stephon Marbury, Billy Cunningham and Jack
Twyman.
