Suns shine on Jones

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) – The Phoenix Suns signed free-agent forward
Jumaine Jones to a one-year contract on Thursday.

The 6-foot-8, 230-pound forward played in 76 games for Charlotte last season,
posting a career-best 10.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. He also
registered eight 20-plus scoring outputs and three double-doubles.

Jones, 27, has played in 453 games for Philadelphia, Cleveland, Boston, the
L.A. Lakers and Charlotte for career averages of 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and
0.9 assists in 21.3 minutes.

Originally drafted by Atlanta in the 1999 NBA Draft with the 27th overall
pick, Jones had his draft rights traded to Philadelphia on June 30, 1999.
