Bucks’ Bogut out with leg sprain

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) – Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut will be
sidelined for six to eight weeks with a lower left leg sprain, general manager
Larry Harris said on Monday.

The 21-year-old Australian suffered the injury during a practice on Saturday.
He was evaluated by team orthopedic physician Dr. John Heinrich, and will
undergo rehabilitation.

Bogut will miss the Bucks’ preseason opener on Wednesday at Minnesota and
could sit out most of the first month of the regular season.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft had a solid rookie season, as he
started 77 of the 82 games he played and averaged 9.4 points with a team-best
7.0 rebounds.
