Lakers’ Brown out 3-4 weeks
Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Los Angeles Lakers forward Kwame Brown
will be sidelined for three-to-four weeks due to a bruised rotator cuff and
bursitis in his right shoulder.
The five-year pro out of Glynn Academy High School in Georgia averaged 7.4
points and 5.7 rebounds in his first year with Los Angeles in 2005-06. He was
selected by Washington No. 1 overall in the 2001 NBA Draft and played his
first three seasons with the Wizards before being shipped to the Lakers along
with Laron Profit for Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins.
For his career, Brown has averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 boards per game.
The Lakers open their season October 31 against the Phoenix Suns.
