Spurs exercise option on G Udrih

San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) – San Antonio exercised the fourth-year
contract option on guard Beno Udrih on Saturday, keeping the former first-
round pick with the Spurs through the 2007-08 season.

Udrih was selected by San Antonio 28th overall in 2004. He has played in 134
games over his first two seasons and is averaging 5.6 points and 1.8 assists
in 12.9 minutes per game.

The 24-year-old set a Spurs rookie record during the 2004-05 season when he
shot 40.8 percent from three-point range. He averaged 11.2 points in six games
for Slovenia during the 2006 World Championships.
