Hornets sign West to contract extension
Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) – The Hornets signed forward David West
to a contract extension.
The Daily Oklahoman reports it’s a five-year deal worth $45 million.
West, starting his fourth year in the NBA, averaged 17.1 points and 7.4
rebounds last year. Last year was his first season as a starter for the
Hornets.
West, who was the 18th overall draft pick by the Hornets in 2003, finished
second in voting for NBA’s most improved player last season.
