Lakers’ Bryant misses opener
Lon Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – Los Angeles Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant
missed the team’s 114-106 season-opening victory on Tuesday against the
Phoenix Suns with soreness in his surgically repaired right knee.
Bryant is also expected to miss the Lakers’ game at Golden State on Wednesday
but hopes to be back in the lineup on Friday when Seattle visits the Staples
The 28-year-old Bryant underwent arthroscopic surgery in July and was unable
to play in any of Lakers’ preseason games.
The dynamic guard led the NBA in scoring last season after averaging 35.4
points per game.
