Sonics ink Collison to extension
Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – The Seattle SuperSonics have agreed to a
contract extension with center Nick Collison.
Terms of the multi-year deal were not disclosed late Tuesday night.
Collison, who missed his entire rookie campaign because of shoulder surgery,
has appeared in 148 games over the past two seasons and owns career averages
of 6.5 points and 5.0 rebounds. Last season he started 27 of the 66 games he
played and posted 7.5 points and 5.6 rebounds.
The Sonics selected Collison with the 12th overall pick of the 2003 NBA Draft
after a standout collegiate career at Kansas.
