Bobcats, Hornets meet at Ford Center

(Sports Network) – The Charlotte Bobcats attempt to stop a three-game
losing streak this evening when they open a three-game road trip against the
New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets at the Ford Center.

The Bobcats suffered a 108-101 home loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
Emeka Okafor had 22 points, 15 boards and three blocks for the Bobcats, who
have lost five of six to start the season.

Brevin Knight added 21 points, seven assists and six boards, while Gerald
Wallace registered 20 points and seven rebounds for Charlotte, which never
recovered from a double-digit deficit in the third quarter.

Charlotte is 0-2 as the guest this season and will visit San Antonio and
Orlando following Tuesday’s game against New Orleans/Oklahoma City.

The Hornets have dropped three in a row after opening the season with four
straight wins. On Sunday they suffered a 92-76 loss to the Los Angeles
Clippers at the Staples Center.

Chris Paul had a team-best 20 points, but turned the ball over six times for
the Hornets. Bobby Jackson contributed 12 points in defeat.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City won both meetings against Charlotte last season and
have won three straight in the series. The Bobcats have dropped both of their
games at the Hornets.
