Bulls continue road trip in Houston

(Sports Network) – The Chicago Bulls play the second of a seven-game road
trip when they visit the Houston Rockets tonight at the Toyota Center.

Chicago dropped the first game of the swing. On Tuesday, Dirk Nowitzki scored
31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 111-99
victory over the Bulls at American Airlines Center.

Kirk Hinrich finished with 25 points in the loss to the Mavericks for Chicago,
while Luol Deng posted 24 points and 10 rebounds. Andres Nocioni netted 11,
Ben Gordon scored 17 and All-Star center Ben Wallace ended with just six
points and eight boards.

The Bulls are 1-3 on the road this season. They will visit San Antonio on
Friday and the Lakers on Sunday. Chicago is scheduled to visit Denver,
Philadelphia and New York in the final three games on the current trip.

Houston tries to get back on the winning track as it plays the finale of a
short two-game homestand. On Tuesday, Tim Duncan scored 19 points and grabbed
15 rebounds, and the Spurs held the Rockets to nine points in the fourth
quarter on their way to a 92-84 come-from-behind victory at the Toyota Center.

Tracy McGrady led the Rockets with 26 points and eight rebounds, but only
scored five in the second half. Yao Ming scored 20 points and grabbed six
boards, while Rafer Alston ended with 12 points for the Rockets who had a
four-game winning streak halted.

The Rockets are 2-1 as the host this season. They are scheduled to visit the
Detroit Pistons on Saturday and the New York Knicks the following Monday.

Last season, the Bulls and Rockets split a pair of contests. Houston has won
six of the last seven meetings overall.

The Bulls have dropped five of their last seven at Houston.

The teams will meet on January 8th at the United Center for the second and
final time this season.
