Sixers sit down Iverson

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – The Philadelphia 76ers sent star guard
Allen Iverson home and ruled him out of the team’s next two games on Friday.

The official party line is that Iverson is out with back spasms but the
enigmatic guard has reportedly asked for a trade, according to the New York

Sixers president Billy King did not confirm that Iverson asked for the trade
before the team’s game against the Washington Wizards.

Iverson leads the NBA in scoring, averaging 31.7 points per game, but his off-
court antics have grown tiresome to the Sixers.
