Dallas’ Nowitzki, Seattle’s Lewis hurt

Seattle, WA (Sports Network) – Dallas Mavericks All-Star forward Dirk Nowitzki
and Seattle forward Rashard Lewis were both hurt in Wednesday’s game between
the teams at KeyArena.

Nowitzki left the game in the first quarter with a sprained left ankle after
Seattle’s Chris Wilcox fell into him going for a rebound. Nowitzki had to be
helped off the court.

Lewis left earlier in the opening half with an injured tendon in his right

X-Rays on both players were negative.

Nowitzki came into the game averaging a team-best 24.1 points per game, while
Lewis was second on the Sonics at 22.7 ppg.
