Timberwolves’ Griffin suspended

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Minnesota Timberwolves forward Eddie Griffin
was suspended five games by the NBA on Friday for violating the league’s Anti-
Drug Program.

Griffin’s suspension, which is without pay, begins on Friday night when the
Timberwolves visit the Memphis Grizzlies.

Griffin has played in 13 games this season for Minnesota, averaging just 1.4
points and 1.9 rebounds.
