Dallas is in first place in the Southwest Division, four games ahead of the
San Antonio Spurs.

Southwest Division rivals battle on Tuesday, as the Mavericks and the Houston
Rockets put their four-game winning streaks on the line at American Airlines
Center. On November 4th, Yao Ming poured in 36 points as the Rockets routed
the Mavericks, 107-76, at the Toyota Center.

Dallas has won two straight and four of its last five at Houston. The
Mavericks have won five in a row in the series.

The Mavericks play the first of a brief two-game homestand against the
Rockets. Josh Howard’s layup with under one second remaining on the clock
lifted Dallas over the Toronto Raptors, 97-96, on Sunday at Air Canada Centre.

Nowitzki paced Dallas with 38 points and 11 rebounds, while Jason Terry had 17
points in the win for the Mavericks, who have won 17 of their last 18 games
overall.

Dallas is 17-3 at home this season. The Mavericks will host Kobe Bryant and
the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The teams have split a pair of meetings
this season, as both clubs picked up a win at home.

The Mavericks are 17-1 when they score 100 or more points this season.
