Hill, Magic top Cavaliers

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) – Grant Hill netted 22 points as the Orlando
Magic ended a recent slide with a 90-79 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at
Quicken Loans Arena.

Dwight Howard posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds for the
Magic, who snapped a five-game skid. Jameer Nelson had 11 points and six
assists in the victory.

LeBron James finished with 18 points and five assists but was just 6-of-15
from the floor for Cleveland, which has dropped four of its last five.

Damon Jones and Larry Hughes both dropped in 16 points, with Hughes adding
seven assists in a losing effort.

Orlando used a 6-2 run in the closing minutes of the first quarter to
establish a 26-20 edge, and expanded the lead to 54-38 by the end of the first
half.

The Magic shot a scorching 58 percent from the floor in the first 24 minutes,
compared to 40 percent by the Cavs. Those gaudy numbers were due in large part
to Hill, who made five of the seven shots he took before intermission for a
team- best 13 points.

Cleveland cut the deficit to eight late in the third quarter courtesy of a
Jones triple, but were unable to make a serious dent and still trailed by 11
heading into the closing stanza.

The home team never seriously threatened in the fourth quarter.
