Suns try to set franchise record in Milwaukee

(Sports Network) – The Phoenix Suns attempt to set a franchise record with
their 16th straight win when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks tonight at the
Bradley Center.

Amare Stoudemire scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Suns to
their franchise-record tying 15th straight win, a 112-107 victory over the New
York Knicks on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Reigning MVP Steve Nash finished with 22 points and 14 assists in the win over
New York for the Suns, who also won 15 in a row earlier this season from
November 20th to December 19th. All-Star forward Shawn Marion had 20 points
and 10 rebounds for Phoenix, which trounced Washington 127-105 on Tuesday to
start its current five-game road trip.

The Suns are 15-5 on the road this season. They are scheduled to visit LeBron
James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday at Quicken Loans Arena and the
Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday at the Target Center.

Milwaukee attempts to halt a five-game losing streak. On Wednesday, Ron Artest
scored 36 points to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 114-106 victory over the
Bucks at ARCO arena.

Earl Boykins poured in 36 points in the loss to Sacramento for Milwaukee,
which continued to play shorthanded. The Bucks continue to play without
forward Charlie Villanueva (right shoulder tendinitis), and guards Michael
Redd (strained patellar tendon in left knee) and Maurice Williams (sprained
left shoulder).

Ruben Patterson had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Bucks, who have dropped
10 of their last 11 games overall.

The Bucks, who will host the New York Knicks on Sunday, are 9-7 at home this
season.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the squads. On
December 1st, Marion and Nash both posted 27 points to lead Phoenix to a
122-116 victory over Milwaukee at US Airways Center.

Phoenix has lost two of its last three at Milwaukee. The Suns have won five of
the last six contests in the series.
