Wizards’ Jamison sidelined 3-6 weeks

Washington, DC (Sports Network) – The Washington Wizards will be without
forward Antawn Jamison for the next three to six weeks as he rehabs a sprained
left knee, the team announced Thursday.

Jamison suffered the injury in Tuesday’s 104-99 victory over Detroit.

Jamison banged the knee in a collision with teammate DeShawn Stevenson at the
conclusion of a Washington fast break midway through the first quarter.

The forward had also hyperextended the knee against Boston on January 20, but
returned to action later in the contest.

Jamison has averaged 19.3 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
