Hornets, Rockets meet at Toyota Center

(Sports Network) – The Houston Rockets attempt to win their fifth straight
game, as they host the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets tonight at the Toyota

Houston plays the fourth of a five-game homestand. Tracy McGrady poured in 36
points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out nine assists as the Rockets
defeated the Seattle SuperSonics, 112-102, on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.

Rafer Alston ended with 15 points and nine assists, while Luther Head netted
14 off the bench in the win over Seattle for the Rockets, who have won four in
a row. Chuck Hayes added 12 points and Dikembe Mutombo contributed 10 points
and eight boards in the victory.

The Rockets are 16-5 at home this season. They are scheduled to host Kevin
Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City begins a three-game road trip. On Friday, Chris Paul
posted 24 points and eight assists as the Hornets completed a five-game
homestand with a 90-83 win over the slumping Minnesota Timberwolves at the
Ford Center.

Tyson Chandler posted 16 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks in the win over
the Minnesota for the Hornets, who won the first three games of their current
stand before being handed an 89-78 defeat by the Philadelphia 76ers on
Wednesday. Jannero Pargo scored 13 points, and Desmond Mason had 12 points and
seven rebounds.

The Hornets, who will also visit Sacramento and Denver on the swing, are just
6-15 on the road this season.

This is the second of four contests between the squads this season. On
November 5th, David West registered 22 points and six rebounds for the
Hornets during their 96-90 victory over the Rockets at New Orleans Arena.

The Hornets have won three straight after losing their last three at Houston.
The Hornets have captured five of the last six contests in the series.
