Denver’s Smith out 3-4 weeks with knee injury

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – Denver Nuggets guard J.R. Smith will be
sidelined at least three to four weeks after suffering a torn lateral meniscus
in his left knee.

Smith, who will undergo surgery on Wednesday, sustained the injury in the
second quarter of Tuesday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

In 42 games this season for Denver, Smith is averaging a career-best 15.4
points and 2.5 rebounds per contest.
