Boston’s Szczerbiak out for the season

Boston, MA (Sports Network) – Boston Celtics forward Wally Szczerbiak will
undergo season-ending surgery on his left ankle Thursday.

He has missed 24 games this season, 23 because of various ankle injuries.

Szczerbiak has played in just 32 games this season, averaging 15 points and
3.1 rebounds per outing.

Boston has just a 14-42 record entering Wednesday night’s game against the New
York Knicks.
