Heat’s Kapono has high ankle sprain

Miami, FL (Sports Network) – Miami Heat sharp-shooter Jason Kapono is expected
to miss at least 10 days of action with a sprained left ankle.

Kapono suffered the injury in the third quarter of the Heat’s 88-81 win over
Atlanta on Monday. An MRI on Tuesday revealed a high ankle sprain. He will
wear a cast for the next 10 days and then be re-evaluated.

A four-year veteran, Kapono won the NBA Three-Point Shootout at All-Star
Weekend last month in Las Vegas. He currently leads the NBA in three-point
field goal percentage at 51.3.

In 58 games this season, the UCLA product has averaged 11.1 points, 2.7
rebounds, 1.2 assists and 26.4 minutes while shooting 49.6 percent from the
floor and 88.7 percent from the line.
