and Zaza Pachulia made a career-high 11 field goals on just 12 attempts for 23
points as the Atlanta Hawks pounded the Sacramento Kings, 99-76. Salim
Stoudamire added 13 for the Hawks, who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Marvin Williams donated 13 points and 11 rebounds and Josh Smith finished with
nine points, 12 boards and a career-high 10 assists for Atlanta, which has won
five home games in a row. Atlanta is now 4 1/2 games out of the last spot in
the Eastern Conference. Corliss Willamson deposited 14 points, Kevin Martin
added 13 and Ron Artest 12 for the Kings, who have lost six of their last
seven games.

New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets routed the Boston Celtics, 106-88, at the
Ford Center. Tyson Chandler posted a double-double with 16 points and 11
rebounds while Chris Paul had 15 points and six assists for the Hornets, who
have won two of their last three games. They are now 1 1/2 games behind idle
Golden State for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Paul Pierce netted a game-high 28 points and Allan Ray scored 12 for Boston,
which has dropped four of six and remains stuck at the bottom of the Atlantic
Division.
