tying layup at the end of regulation, as the New Jersey Nets stayed alive in
the playoff hunt, wrapping up a short two-game road trip with a 113-107
overtime victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. Josh Boone scored a career-high
21 points for New Jersey, which is now tied for the eighth and final playoff
spot in the Eastern Conference, and snapped a two-game losing streak.
Richard Jefferson scored 16 points, and Jason Kidd added 10 boards and 15
assists. Matt Carroll scored a career-high tying 27 points for the Bobcats,
who opened a three-game homestand, and have lost 12 of their last 16

and led a balanced Sixers attack with 19 points, eight rebounds and six
assists as Philadelphia erased a 19-point deficit and beat Miami, 93-85, at
AmericanAirlines Arena. Iguodala, who missed Friday’s win over Charlotte
with a strained lower back, had played in 232 consecutive regular season
games, which was the third-longest active streak in the NBA behind San
Antonio’s Bruce Bowen and Tayshaun Prince of Detroit. Kyle Korver donated 17
points and Willie Green added 13 for the Sixers, who snapped a six-game
slide in Miami. Their last win in South Beach came on December 5, 2003.
Joe Smith recorded a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 13 boards,
while Samuel Dalembert chipped in 12 also for Philadelphia, which finished 46
percent shooting from the field. Jason Williams poured in 21 points and
dished out six assists for the Heat, who have dropped three of their last
four. Shaquille O’Neal had 18 and Udonis Haslem grabbed 14 boards to go along

who have won four straight. Tim Thomas scored 13, and Cuttino Mobley had
12 points and eight boards for LA, which holds one-game lead over Golden
State for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Gilbert
Arenas scored 30 points and tallied eight assists for the Wizards, who have
lost two straight, but maintain a one-half game lead over Miami for first
