Bosh, Yao earn Player of the Week honors

New York, NY (Sports Network) – Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh and
Houston Rockets center Yao Ming were named the Eastern and Western Conference
Players of the Week, respectively, for games played through April 1.

Bosh averaged 22.3 points during the seven-day span, shooting 47.3 percent to
go along with 14.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists. Toronto went 3-1 for the week,
while also clinching a playoff berth for the first time since 2001-02.

Yao averaged 30.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 2.25 blocks as Houston also went
3-1 during the week. Yao posted three straight double-doubles to close the
week, including consecutive games with 35 or more points against the Lakers
and Jazz.

Since Yao returned to the Rockets’ lineup on March 3, Houston owns an 11-4
