Knicks’ Thomas fined

New York, NY (Sports Network) – New York Knicks president/head coach Isiah
Thomas was fined $50,000 Tuesday for his public criticisms of the NBA.

Thomas criticized the officials following Saturday’s 103-94 loss to the New
Orleans Hornets. He took exception to the lack of foul calls guard Stephon
Marbury draws compared to other players in the league.

New York is just 31-42 this season and entering Tuesday night’s games, 2 1/2
games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
