Wade back on Heat roster
Miami, FL (Sports Network) – Miami guard Dwyane Wade was put on the team’s
active roster Sunday, in advance of a home game against Charlotte.
While Wade was not in the starting lineup for tonight’s game, it was unclear
whether he would play, which would mark a return from a dislocated left
shoulder he suffered in February.
Wade participated in Friday’s shootaround before an 88-85 win at Boston and
was projected to return to the Heat next week, likely in a reserve role.
Wade originally suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of a 112-102 loss at
Houston on February 21.
The star guard is averaging 28.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists this
season for the Heat, who are three games ahead of Washington for the lead in
the Southeast Division.
