Mavs exercise option on Diop
Dallas, TX (Sports Network) – The Dallas Mavericks have exercised the team
option on center DeSagana Diop, the team announced Friday.
The seven-foot Diop averaged 2.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 18.3
minutes per game this past season. He played in 81 games and started nine.
Diop has averaged 1.9 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in six seasons in
the league, the first four spent with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who selected
him eighth overall in the 2001 NBA Draft.
