National Basketball Association Playoff Game Capsules

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) – Luol Deng scored 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting
and grabbed 13 rebounds, and the Chicago Bulls held off another fourth-quarter
rally to top the Detroit Pistons, 102-87, and stave off elimination in Game 4
of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. The Pistons hold a 3-1 lead in
the series and try again to bounce the Bulls from the playoffs on Tuesday
night in Detroit. Kirk Hinrich and Ben Gordon scored 19 points each, and
Hinrich doled out 10 assists. Ben Wallace grabbed 17 boards to go along with
11 points to finally earn a playoff win against his former team. Chauncey
Billups scored 23 points and tallied eight assists, and Tayshaun Prince had 18
points and seven rebounds for Detroit. Rasheed Wallace finished with 14 points
and seven boards, but Chris Webber again came up very short for the Pistons,
going scoreless for the second straight game.

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) – Carlos Boozer scored 34 points and grabbed 12
rebounds as the Utah Jazz defeated the Golden State Warriors, 115-101, to take
a commanding lead in their Western Conference semifinals series. Game 2 hero
Derek Fisher poured in 21 points while Deron Williams had 20 points and 13
assists for the Jazz, who took a 3-1 lead and will look to close out the
series on Tuesday in Utah. Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington each scored 24
points for the Warriors, who suffered their first playoff loss at home in
front of the largest crowd ever to attend a basketball game in California.
Baron Davis, who scored 32 points to lead Golden State to a Game 3 victory,
shot just 6-of-16 from the field and finished with 15 points and seven
assists. Golden State shot playoff lows in field goals (40.5 percent) and
free throws (61.8 percent).
