Why Should Miami Heat Fans Worry About Dwyane Wade’s Health?

Tonight, for the second consecutive game, the Heat will take the court without three injured starters: center Shaquille  O’Neal (left hip bursitis), forward Dorell Wright (sprained left ankle) and guard Jason Williams (inflamed left knee). And, as has been the custom for the Heat (8-24) this season, things are a bit worse. Guard Dwyane Wade has a jammed little finger on his right (shooting) hand and an aggravation of his bruised right shoulder.

Both happened in the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s 103-98 loss to Milwaukee. Wade is expected to start in tonight’s game at Dallas (21-11), which is the start of a  five-game road trip for Miami, but he won’t be healthy…But combine the new injuries with the expected aches and pains from off-season left shoulder and knee surgeries, and Wade’s situation becomes more worrisome.
